Retaining walls hold back soil and prevent erosion. Block walls over 4 feet tall usually require geogrid reinforcement and structural engineering approval.
Drainage Backfill
Always fill 12 inches directly behind the retaining wall blocks with clean 3/4" crushed gravel to prevent hydrostatic water pressure build-up.
